I wish for my life to be recorded down in book since my birth. Every event that I had experienced. It would be such a good thing. If I ever lose my memory, I can read my life like a book. Mayb its not too late to start now. I probably have about at least 50 years to go. Hopefully. Wishing I surf this page on my deathbed. To die knowing that I have no regrets and am proud of my acheivements.

The Blue Mansion is a quirky murder mystery about a wealthy Asian tycoon who dies suddenly under mysterious circumstances. He returns as a ghost to try to uncover the secret of his death with the help of his family and the police.

A local production by Glenn Goei. I love the set. He makes good use of contrast and lights which makes the set look exceptionally classic. Although I was somewhat disappointed in the thin plot, I must say it's still worth watching. I cringed at the post editing and censorship. It was bad. I also question the relevance of Emma's nudity but heck, I certainly ain't complaining.

The film tells a story of the relationship between a woman, Summer (Deschanel), who doesn't believe in true love and a man, Tom (Gordon-Levitt), described as a hopeless romantic, who falls in love with her. When Tom is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days 'together' to try to figure out where things went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to finally rediscover his true passions in life. - Adapted from Yahoo

4 stars for a very different presentation. It's still very much a romantic comedy but it's refreshing and very entertaining.

In Iraq, an elite U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit is forced to play a dangerous game of cat and mouse in the chaos of war in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb. Jeremy Renner plays the leader of the EOD team, as he contends with not only defusing bombs in the backdrop of a war, but also the psychological and emotional strain that inflicts. -Adapted from Yahoo

I thought it was not too bad. It was intense and felt more real than reel. The way it was film was rather documentary-like though. I can't decide if it's good or bad. I am pretty sure I was rather nauseous towards the end of the movie though.

Gosh I am back for over a month already. Have not found the time to really update yet though. Tons of things have happened during the trip. I have seen so many things and experienced so many things. Such an experience. Ever since we got back, we had to rehearse non-stop for the JJ party performances. Anyhow Let's take it slow from here and I will update about the trip and big proposal. And the recent performance as well.

Lowepro  CompuDay Pack

Nikkor 50mm f1.8d

My two new purchases. Probably the last of the lot for a long time. Erhmm.....although I lack a tripod. That can wait and besides I am not a very tripod person. Alright, so all ready for the trip now. The other side of the pocket gonna get burnt too. Leaving in about 12 hours time, hopefully the trip pans out exactly the way we want it. And hopefully safe and sound for everyone, when we are back. Things are going to be different. Smirk

Action packed and fast paced. I am not so sure whether I like how the movie uses flashbacks as a way to introduce the background of every character. It may seem clever but yet found it a bit messy. Anyhow it's a entertaining, though I thought it lacked a little depth. You cannot go too wrong watching it I suppose.

If you are expecting a lot of gritty details of the cases he had fought, you be left bitterly disappointed. In it, he talks about his growing up days at the Naval Base hostels and his education in RI and University. He does not divulge too much details into the cases however he focus mainly on the relationships he had with the different people in his life, be it his clients or his colleagues. It's a clean and concise write up but at the end of it all, it makes you feel like wanting a bit more.

I lay hands on my first DSLR camera.  I still remember 2.5 years ago before my LA trip , I was deciding whether to get one but thought the better of it. Now just before my NY trip,  I finally bite the bullet and got myself the Nikon D90. This camera will probably last me through the next 10 years or more. There are endless stuff to add onto this baby. Battery grip, extra battery, more lenses, tripod, bag, etc. In fact, I just bought the dry cabinet last night. I bought the 60L model so that  someone at home can use it to.  Might as well lar, since the price is not that big a difference. Anyway, now it's all about shooting and shooting. Hopefully, I can justify my new purchase.

Not exactly the best local production I have seen. Given the supposedly "star-studded" cast, I guess we were expecting much more. To begin with, the content was rather too shallow. There were a couple of segments which reflected several events that just happened to spice up the contents. I cringed to imagine how it would have been worse if they were not added or if these events did not happened in the first place. Nevertheless, I guess we just took in our stride and laugh as heartily as we could to chase those midweek blues away.

Someone mentioned that it was flat and too documentary-ish. And I got to agree. Even better half thought it was too boring for her. If not for the few shooting scenes, it would almost be better off shown on History Channel. However, the dazzling Depp showed his convincing acting skills once again. I am not too sure how closely is he trying to portray John Dillinger, but he sure brings his own style and character into it. For me, I thought the acting was brilliant. It was how the direction went that sort of limited the exciting potential of this script and lineup of actors and actresses. Nevertheless, it's watchable, I have seen much worse movies.

The review below probably describes my thoughts exactly. I really like the show. Given the unexpected appearance of 张静初, I think there is nothing more to ask for. Star-studded cast, strong acting and powerhouse director and producer. I like the way it's been delivered. Although there are several things that wasn't well explained but I like how tight it was. Watch it.

Ballet Under The Stars 2009

Or more affectionately known as BUTS. It's my first time attending, not the first picnic at fort canning but first time for BUTS. Anyhow I was pretty much shocked to know it's been running for 15 years now. Amazing. It was a pretty good experience and seeing professionals doing their job. It was envy more than awe. After taking up jazz classes for a couple of months now, I am able to better appreciate what the ballerinas were doing and definitely understand even more how difficult to execute what they were doing on stage. Somehow though, I did not quite enjoy the show wholesomely, if there is such a word. There is always some part which was never gonna fulfill my desire. Maybe it's the attitude, I bring to it but I believe I just prefer somethings in a certain way. My way, maybe you would like to call it. That aside, I would certainly return for another time without doubt. Just because good dancers are my inspiration, I may never be as good but I will always work towards them.

I must say I quite like it. The plot is clever and well thought though predictable at times. The way it's written is creative and quite engaging. Coming from a Italian author, maybe that's why it feels different.

Adapted from AMAZON

Cristiano is thirteen. Home life is far from perfect, and when his drink-sozzled father and two reprobate friends come up with a plan to rob a bank, Cristiano sees the chance of a better life. But as a tremendous storm brews that night, the perfect crime will have shocking consequences for all involved. And Cristiano must put childhood behind him once and for all.

Just finished this rather simple to digest book. Somehow it just lacks the ability to engage. The feeling of suspense and time is also missing. So all in all, it was rather disappointing. Read more about it here.

Finally it's here. Though I wouldn't say it's long awaited. We had a great dinner at Da Paulo at Rochester. Pretty nice place, great ambience. Service was good too although not as warming. Food was good. I like my sirloin very much. Eventually we made our way to JJ social night and had my birthday dance. That's pretty much how my birthday went. An ice cream maker which did not work me and a pair of earphones are what I got for my birthday pressies.

It hasn't been great since turning 30. Toe and back injury have put me out of action till today. Feels blardy crap. Hope I will recover real soon and stay that way all the way.

for quite awhile now. A wholesome 3 months. I don't know if it's a blessing or not. I have been away at my other site for the past 3 months getting all down n dirty with a new project. Hence I have been severely detached and deprived of the Internet. Come to think of it, it's more like 2 months since for about a month, I was out and about in another country for my reservist. Anyway the trip was absolutely nothing to shout about, if there was, it would be "when am i going home?!?".

I forsee the next couple of months to be back to normal routine finally. Hoping to relate myself back to the internet. More dancing to come for the next couple of months as we prepare for a performance. And I am truly looking forward to the our awesome though expensive long trip. Now now, shall I step into the dark side before my trip?? Damn undecided.

Utter crap. Avoid it at all costs especially for Dragonball fans. The re-adaption of the comic to the movie screen play is a case of total loss in translation. It turns out to be rubbish. There's really nothing exciting about this Dragon's ball except for Jamie Chung's.

Something like Love Actually the US version. A movie that runs 4 love stories in parallel. What's great about this movie is that the script is very real. You can relate to the issues of love that were brought up. It's got a good humour too.

Somewhat pathetic and under-qualified. Anyhow it's official now. I believe it will motivate me to work harder and bring myself to a even high level. At the end of the day, I really hope to spread the love of salsa and its culture.

Dennis Goh

Dennis started salsa classes in 2004.  It has since become his life-long passion.  Dennis seeks continual improvement in his repertoire by attending congresses and workshops.  He is known to be very observant and picks moves up very quickly.  He also has a penchant for details.  Dennis prides himself to be an enjoyable and fun social dancer despite the lack of formal dance training prior to salsa.

Dennis joined the JJSalsaRengue Performance Team in 2006.  He has since performed in various congresses, namely Singapore International Salsa Festival 2006, 2007, 2008, the West Coast Salsa Congress 2007, and the Malaysia World Latin Salsa Congress 2008.  He was also part of the winning team for the SuperNova Salsa Competition, Fiesta @ Orchard.

As an instructor, Dennis wants to impart his knowledge of the dance to his students.  He also hopes to nurture and inspire them to become confident and good dancers.
